A Thought - A Wish

It comes every year, a chance to show that we are human, durable and willing to be subjected to rules and regulations, and believing in rewards and punishments.

I ask myself whether I am starting to do what I am doing today because I am a Muslim, full stop. But I wonder what goes behind this yearly ritual. It cannot simply be the need to understand hunger and to appreciate poverty.

I wonder.

When I was a child I was told that if you are lucky you will bump into the elusive Lailatul Qadr somewhere in the dark of the night towards the end of the holy month. There is a subtle message somewhere.

I   wonder.

This is just a thought and I wish my Muslim readers a fruitful month of Ramadhan, and wish that this may not be our last.

Dear Pakcik,
Rewards and punishment and an obligation. Some manage to spice things up with all excitements. They look forward to it for the one next year may not arrive! So they make the
most of this year's! Selamat Berpuasa to Pakcik, Makcik and everyone at Al-Manar!

Wallahualam.

Selamat memburu Lailatul-Qadr!
Moga 'A Thought - A Wish' kan dapat kita lalui juga di tahun-tahun mendatang.

Selamat Berpuasa.

السلم عليكم ورحمة الله
I find the tasauf groups really exciting when they dwell into the deeper meaning of Allah's commandments and life experiences that He has allowed us to go through.
May I wish you a very pleasant and rewarding Ramadhan.

Temuk,

Waalaikum Salaam Pak Temuk.

At times it does us good to sit back and imagine we are among the sufis, giving a deep thought to what lies beneath the surface. Unfortunately it is not easy to find one who can initiate and guide us.

Hope you and family will have a rewarding Ramadhan as well and Selamat Hari Raya

Dear Pak Cik,
Ramadhan is the holiest of all the months in the Muslim calendar and we need not wonder as to the rewards and bounty which are promised by Allah because the Al-Quran and the As-Sunnah are the basic guidance for the faithful. Indeed blessed are those who are able to meet Ramadhan and are able to perform all the ibadat as our preparation for the world hereafter. Wallahuwa'lam.

WalaukSalaam to you as well.
It is good to be curious. That is an essential key to learning - the what and why questions.

I wish you and family a pleasant Ramadhan and a Happy Hari Raya.
I need to ask some question but cannot find your email. Please email Pakcik on almanar@pd.jaring.my

Akhi AHS,

I suppose you have already started gathering for buka puasa leading to the sembahyang raya. Time flies and let us pray that we will see the next Ramadhan.

abdulhalimshah said...

Dear Pak Cik,
Actually this Ramadhan is very significant for me more because my sleeping disorder which afflicted me for a couple of months had been overcome. It looked like that it was preparing me for the Qiamullail, which I look forward to meet in the last ten nights of Ramadhan. Now my sleeping pattern is back to normal and the test is whether I can meet the challenge of performing the Qiam.

Alhamdulillah to be the lucky few who manage to enroll in madrasah Ramadan this year. Hope to graduate at the end of the month in flying colors. Better solat hajat every night without fail asking from Allah to grant 'me' Lailatul Qadr, hence became the Luckiest man of all humankind.

AHS,

What a surprise Ramadhan gift it is for you, Akhi AHS. And now you are physically and psychologically prepared. Praise be to Him.

Al-Manar said...

SOT,

You have put your thought and prayers nicely. Ameen to that. Selamat meneruskan 'kursus' berpuasa dan dianugerahkan 'ijazah' yang dijanji NYA.
